Our EMT course is offered in a hybrid format. Hybrid learning combines online coursework with in-person instruction located in Rexburg, Idaho. Students will complete weekly assignments outside of class and attend in-person classes twice each week.

Tuesdays are dedicated to hands-on skills training, including demonstrations, scenario-based learning, and practical application of course material. Students will also attend a live lecture on either Wednesday or Thursday evening, depending on the class option they select during registration.

Students will choose one of the following schedules:

• Class A: Tuesday Skills 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm/Lab and Wednesday Lecture 6 pm - 10 pm
• Class B: Tuesday Skills 8:00 pm - 10:00 pm /Lab and Thursday Lecture 6 pm - 10 pm

This hybrid format provides the flexibility of online learning while ensuring students receive the face-to-face instruction, hands-on skills practice, and mentorship necessary to successfully complete the EMT program and prepare for certification testing and employment in emergency medical services.

With our program students are required to purchase their own book. We are currently using Jones and Bartlett Emergency Care and Transportation of the Sick and Injured 13th Edition which you purchase HERE.

You are also welcome to purchase this book used or from other sources as long as you purchase the 13th edition.

I further acknowledge that my payment for this course ensures I am responsible for maintaining my own health insurance coverage throughout my participation in the program. I understand that the Emergency Services National Academy (ESNA), Madison Fire Department, its instructors, affiliates, and clinical or field partners do not provide medical, health, accident, or disability insurance for students. In the event that I am injured or become ill during any classroom, laboratory, skills, clinical, field, or program-related activity, I understand that I am responsible for seeking medical care and that any resulting medical expenses may be submitted to my personal health insurance provider.

ESNA Course Refund Policy

Students who wish to withdraw from a course may be eligible for a tuition refund according to the following schedule:

• 100% refund if the student officially withdraws no later than 10 days prior to the first class date.
• 50% refund if the student officially withdraws within 10 days of the first class date and no later than the end of the first class day.
• No refund will be issued after 5 pm the day before class starts.

To officially withdraw from a course and be considered for a refund, students must submit a written request by email within the applicable deadlines. Refund requests should be sent to [email protected] with the subject line "Refund Request."

Students who purchase a tuition protection plan or similar third-party protection product will be subject to the terms and conditions of that plan. If a student elects not to purchase a protection plan, the ESNA Course Refund Policy shall apply.

Approved refunds will be issued by check and mailed to the address on file. Refund processing may take up to four (4) weeks, and delivery times may vary depending on postal service schedules.
